My Sketchbook is Back Home
I’ve written here before about the Flying Pictures Project, a sketchbook exchange, which I’ve had the privilege of participating in. Starting in May, seven of us began to make homemade accordion sketchbooks, which we then sent to one another in a prescribed order. Each participant added their own pages, which were supposed to be 18 by 26 cm. (Some of us have trouble following directions, me in particular, and so were slightly off.) Well, my sketchbook has come home, and it’s really something. If you want to know more about the participants in this project, and look at some of the other work, head over to our common blog. Here it is in a slideshow . If you want to read the captions, to see who did what, just slide your curser over the picture. You can slow down the slideshow that way as well.
This has been such a fun project, that we’re thinking of something else to do as a group – although there will be some slight changes. This kind of project can take up a lot of time, and some of us may sit the next project out. I’m in though!
Oooh! This is great! I’m looking forward to setting aside time to look through this.
the sketch book is beautiful. this project sounds similar to the international moleskine exchange groups.
My third look, Casey. Started my day, yesterday, with this lovely slide show.
As I’ve said before, seeing these pictures in person must feel like flying with joy.
Lordy, what a fabulous array of art, but I would expect no less from a fabulous collection of Artists 😉
That slide show sets it off perfectly and you’ve got a wonderful book there :>)
I’m hoping to get Ronell’s finished at the weekend and back to her – I LOVE mine and will post it soon :>)
it really was so much fun :>)

Clever of you to create this slide show for us vcisitors. Have really enjoyed following this flying pages project. Whats the next one about??
These sketches are all just wonderful, and the slideshow shows them off so fluently and well. Congratulations to all you talented people!
How beuatiful!!!!!!!!!
Yes, it is a lovely thing. And the slide show sets it off nicely. I think I may do something similar when our books “come back to the shelf.”
Casey, yes, I’m in a swap with 7 others (Australia, USA Canada) and we have a few to go, but are all enjoying it.
(I think the link should work now)
Excellent. I you make an other one i like to be involved. Good idee. Keep going.
