Number 33 of 100 Landscapes – A Stormy Day on the Loire

June 16, 2010

I didn’t much feel like painting today, but once I got going it was ok.  This is from a photo I took a couple of days ago, but accurately reflects the weather we are having today.  No particular progress today, but moving along….

The Loire and his climax is particularly in the sky and the water. Great!

J’aime beaucop !

Oh, I so agree with monteiro– the lights under those turbulent clouds,
and the lights and reflection in the water…it is to sigh for,

That sky is magnificient but scary, Casey. I’m concerned that the awful flooding in France may have come your way. I do hope not.

This is beautiful! I love this dark sky, and the special atmosphere, all quiet, everybody and everything waiting for the rain; and at the same time your yellowish grass speaks of summer and beautiful days to come… or am I too optimistic?
