November 27, 2009

I wanted to take a long walk and do some skeching today, but the weather diddn’t cooperate.  He’s a quickie of our local castle with storm clouds.

This is a great sketch, but it is really the watercolor part of it that is so special! The sky is roiling and alive, and I love how the colors bleeeeed in the castle.

My local castle, by the way, is Burger King.

You really captured the mood! Didn’t know you had a local castle. Now, I do!

Très belle spontanéité dans l’execution de cette aquarelle.

Gorgeous! And so funny for me as a Californian, when the 1800s are considered really old, to think of having a “local castle!”

I love the texture of your sky and your blues!

“our local castle”… that’s a phrase I never get to say here in Canada! That made me laugh.
But your sketch of it is beautiful.

I also love the “local castle” comment – our local castle is the monstrosity next door – 7000 sq ft for two people!

Hi Casey, Wonderful…you get some great, vibrant darks! And, just enough detail to get the feel for the castle. I like it!

Jana’s “local castle” makes me smile, too. Love those roiling clouds
filling the sky, and those beautiful and colorful shadows blending on the walls.
