Happy Thanksgiving

November 27, 2008

I’m afraid I have no turkey drawings to offer today, only one of this beautiful and tragic pheasant.  He was shot by a friend a few weeks ago, and given, along with another one, as a gift to my husband.  When I saw my kitchen full of flying feathers, I heroically pulled out my water soluble colored pencils to draw him, and then ran off to the movies.  By the time I got home it was all cleaned up, and we thoroughly enjoyed roasted pheasant twice that week.

I hope everyone in the US, and all of us expats, enjoys a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends, no matter what you have for dinner.

I’ve enjoyed the “fowl series” of sketches. I like how you made them so colorful and fluffy and textural.
