A Farmhouse in the Loire Valley

August 27, 2008

Update: Claire finally got the website for these properties online. There are still some glitches, but if you have time, head over and take a look! Click on “a la campagne” if you want to see more of the farmhouse.

My friends Steven and Veronica bought and restored this farmhouse a few years ago. They’ve created a really wonderful living space upstairs in the back which they rent out to visitors to the area. We’re in the process of creating some postcards of this and other properties they manage to give to guests. This painting was done for that purpose.

Oh, and yes, those are my watercolors. We’re not sure who will do the workshops yet – it depends on interest, really. I would love to organize one for sketching, but we’ll see…..
