I’m doing a portrait exchange with Ujwala . She just sent me an email saying she likes my first graphite drawing, so I’ll post it here :

    Wow- this is so beautiful! Great portrait! You have such a sensitive approach with graphite- it’s marvelous.

    Casey, this is fantastic—I don’t remember seeing anything quite like this in your work before. It’s hard to extract soulfulness from a photo (I think), but you and Jana and Ujwala and have certainly done that in spades.
