My scanner thinks it’s an artist

September 24, 2007

My scanner will not cooperate and upload things the way I want, but constantly feels the need to crop my work. I’m tired of fighting with it, maybe it’s right. Here are it’s latest creations. Tomorrow I may try to post them in their entirety. I don’t know. I’m tired of conflict.

If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment.

Could it be that the “auto-cropping” box is checked somewhere or the size format is wrong? (You need to get this figured out so we can see the entirety of those apples-which look incredible.)

Afraid I can’t help with the scanner, Casey. Mine is hopeless for watercolours – it only reproduces well with gray scale. Can’t work out if the problem is the scanner or the operator. I now photograph all paintings.

I had a night like that last night. I went to post a progression of an oil painting (why?!) and Flickr was slow, WordPress was slow, the formatting got all screwed up, etc. And then it was midnight and I gave up and fixed it a bit today.

That’s so weird, I thought I commented on this awhile back. I thought it was great then and do now.
