July 8, 2007

I was lucky enough to meet up with Shirley and Sandy in New York on Thursday for a wonderful sketchcrawl, organized by Shirley, who has posted a couple of photos on her site. We started out in Central Park doing people sketches :

Then we headed over to the Bethesda fountain :

had a really nice lunch in the Boat House (still Central Park)

and spent a leisurely afternoon enjoying Greek and Roman Antiquities in the Metropolitan Museum of Art :

It was a perfect day, and I really enjoyed meeting two other EDM members, both of whom are every bit as much fun in real life as online.

What a lovely day you had together. Your sketches and paintings are really wonderful! I particularly like the Boathouse restaurant one because of the colours. (I’m a nut for colour!) The other ones I like are of the statuary; both the male torso and the one with the angel on top are really good!

Thanks for sharing! Hope the rest of your vacation is just as much fun!
