Sunshine

June 16, 2007

My good friend Ronell came by yesterday with a beautiful, sunny bouquet of flowers to brighten a very strange day. I’d like to share them with all of you.

Beauriful drawing! And a lovely thing for Ronell to do.

This is beautifully painted Casey…in spite of the sadness I know you feel deep down, I can sense a “lightness” and sunny feel to this sketch. And somehow this “spirit” just belongs right here with the sketch of your father…it is a beautiful tribute; an ending as well as a new beginning…. I’m sure you’ll understand what I mean.

Beautiful painting, Casey, full of feeling. I’m still absorbing your loss. How precious such friends as Ronell are.

Casey, I am very sad to hear of your loss. The portrait was beautiful, and I am sure is appreciated by many. The slipping away of a loved one is awful in so many ways, but I know in the case of my mother, left me no more prepared than if it had been sudden. Memories really save us, though they hurt.

    The flowers are lovely!

    Thinking of you,
    Ashleigh

Beautiful flowers and very thoughtful of Ronell too. From the way you speak of him, I know your Dad will always be remembered with love in your heart. (((Hugs)))

I’m sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. Is Father’s Day celebrated where you are? It must make it even harder if it is. I loved what you said about groaning at his jokes–a very familiar thing in my household too.

The flowers are so brilliant and loosely done. It’s so neat how you and Ronell share subject matter and paint together. Very nice work!

Casey, what a beautiful painting! Your dad would have liked to see it so close to his portrait. The 2 drawings really do belong together, don’t they?

What a thoughtful gesture Ronell made. It’s a times like this we all need to be able to have our friends around us. All your cyber friends are here too.

    Hugs,

    Bonny

Lovely flowers, kind friends and getting lost for a while in art; I hope these prove helpful during what I’m sure is a difficult time. You’ve certainly produced a beautiful painting.
