Final Drawings from Hong Kong

June 11, 2007

Here are some bits and bobs that didn’t fit into other posts.

A couple of figures I liked from the Heritage Museum – a horse and rider from the Northern Wei Dynasty and a military official from the Tang Dynasty:

An adorable family having sushi near us in a Japanese restaurant – right after this there was a bit of a disaster, with the little one spilling tea all over everything…

and I leave you with a couple of views from Victoria Peak.

    Casey,
I loved seeing all of your Hong Kong sketches – what a great collection from what sounds like an amazing and full visit. I can’t wait to see how you sketch fast and loose. I need a role model!

What a wonderful keepsake of your holiday in Hong Kong! Your sketchesare fabulous! I have to agree with Dave; too bad these are the last ones of your trip. I really enjoyed reading the little stories with each sketch. Sounds like you had a truly wonderful time.

Though you enjoyed doing all of your Hong Kong artwork, you should know that I have certainly enjoyed viewing your efforts. They are all such a treat to see.

Regarding all your lovely paintings from Hong Kong I just wonder how much time you might have spent painting them?! Wow! A beautiful memory of your journey.

These are so wonderful Casey – Hong Kong is one place my husband would be willing to visit again – these make me want to go too.

These are exactly what travel sketches should be! They have so much energy and life! So when is your next trip?

These are all lovely! I like the colours you chose to use for the top two figurines, and the family portrait is charming! What beautiful reminders of your trip.
